IM BACK!!! WITH A MEGA GOOD POST! Totally self-proclaimed and loving it.
Hana Academy held it's 4th makeup competition, VIVORA, on Christmas eve! I loved everything that day, perhaps feeling sorry only for the buffet which I missed out as I'm detoxing once again! But there's always another time! These are photos taken by Andric's friend during the (30minutes) makeup!
We arrived at Hana Academy, settled and started prepping our model's face, with cleanser, toner, moisturizer & masques!!! <3 All by Artistry, which sponsored Miss America 2011, with the winner taking the role of Artistry spokesperson. Euromonitor International, a researcher and publisher of market reports, business reference books and online information databases, indipendently categorizes Artistry as a prestige brand, as one of the top five in sales in this category, alonside Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome and Chanel. I LOVE ARTISTRY! My mom backs me up as it allows me to make a refund or exchange should I try out a product and find it disatisfactory! Save $$ maximum.
Then the competition starts!!
Me and my model, Shi Hui! It was a heart-thumping 30minutes as I was trying to squeeze in a full face makeup, falsies & crystals. However, my crystals did not get shipped to me in time. I loved how every girls looks so gorgeous as they are being made up.
Shi hui is so gorgeous, I see it in her the first time I met her in Asian Film History class. She has that exotic look, which was exactly what made me chose her to be my model! I want no nice girl-next-door-common-face. I'm not the usual kind of cutesy pretty girl anyway. We became friends when she sat beside me and told me that there's food in the library. Geeeezz.
YanWei xiaozhang and YuZhe laoshi! Love their outfit colors. Amazing people who taught me life skills applicable anywhere, anytime Really knowledgeable! Then we had a catwalk.

HI LET ME BE PROUD FOR AWHILE. Heehehe. I won WHEEEE!!!! Thank goodness I thought of the Golden Horse Award so I managed to thank and give my short speech. :) Thanks again to everyone who made it possible. Especially to myself for giving it a shot and attended the Skincare&Beauty class earlier this year. If not, I wouldn't have been able to learn from my friendly mentors --especially on my favourite trimming eyebrows and apply eyeshadow properly in different styles!! Everyone has been practicing hard for this, and I've been practicing on fresh faces. All these made me realize that THERE REALLY IS NO UGLY GIRLS, ONLY LAZY GIRLS. Oh my, it's your face, take care of it~ at least bother!!!

On a more personal note..
Mingling with people out of one's comfort zone changes one's perspective. I believe that to grow and move forward, is to interact with others. And sieve out information received accordingly. I have set a long-term goal which is akin to casting a long fishing line, and I am trying my best to wait for it to realize..
Contentment in itself might not be a bad thing, but it definitely kills the spirit to strive and persevere. This month I have accomplished my aim of mingling with totally new people, to learn about their life, to seek to learn from their experience, to broaden my perspectives. I have kept myself busy learning around people from all walks of life, such as people who is/were boss of a branding company based in Singapore, London & HongKong, assistant VP of OCBC, food company lab scientist, lawyer's secretary, small boss of a furniture company, supplier& small boss of vehicle repair factory, heiress to an insurance company... so on so forth. I must say that once I've stepped out of my own well (frog in the well), I have really seen so so so SO MUCH! How one could better deal with problems, how one could be a better person, how one could help someone so much and that sometimes people really just need a helping hand.. How one should carry oneself.
My approach to situations have gone for the better. In recent results, I found that I managed to organize time & be more focused in planning out ways to achieve what I want . Put to test and worked! I passed all my modules! Very happy girl :)
Playing & working really can co-exist together. I experienced it, it's time you do too. Put all your hardwork in the right direction, if not all will be in vain!
